Very clean, great staff, despite lockdown, they gave their best

Just ordered to go: super delicious, unusual and something different from the usual song service. Unfortunately a lot of rubbish after unpacking, but the circumstances certainly made it necessary to implement the new concept quickly. Gladly again, but better again in the restaurant with great service and the right wine.

Very nice hotel, after a building fire a few years ago, the building with the reception and restaurant has been rebuilt, very stylish and cozy. The restaurant with a fireplace and beautiful wood paneling invites you to linger. I had a tasty pumpkin soup and the Altonaburger, really to be recommended. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The room in the old customs house was very stylish, the WiFi was very good. Breakfast very cheap and very good. The only disturbing thing was the shooting from the shooting range on the other side of the street at 5:00 p.m. Quasi a permanent fire. I can't even imagine how you can enjoy outdoor dining there when the weather is nice. In the restaurant and room, thank God, nothing of it was heard. However, I am also sensitive to noise. Maybe I just got the wrong time. Definitely worthwhile for an overnight stay in transit.

Super, little else to say. Quiet, very kind, excellent restaurant, for the German level. The low-salt cuisine is noteworthy, which allows the quality of the ingredients to emerge, which is very rare everywhere, particularly in Germany.

We celebrated 3 birthdays there yesterday, Lillet was there beforehand Berries. Then came the breakfast buffet, with all the trimmings 12:15 came the warm meal with pork tenderloin wrapped in bacon There were vegetables and potato gratin, everything was very tasty and last but not least came the dessert, chocolate mousse with kiwi, vanilla cream with berries and a strawberry cream with a dash of whipped cream, and I want myself whole especially with our waitress the one named Sabine hotter, because I know her from Harpstedt and who has fulfilled our every wish and always was present.

Our wedding was great! The service was friendly and fast, the food was excellent as always, the rooms were nice and clean. Always worth a visit!

Hello, we went to the restaurant of the house for dinner on Sunday. The six of us ordered various dishes that we all enjoyed. We were served very friendly and quickly. We liked the ambience very much. Although the restaurant was well attended, it was not noisy; the modern building apparently has clever structural solutions to be able to boast such pleasant acoustics. We would love to come back!

We celebrated our neighbor's 70th birthday there, with bed and breakfast. Just awesome.

Has been recommended. Ambience and staff 5 stars. Setting up the food on the plate is also OK. The food itself is impossible. That cannot be the claim of the house. Pork loin full of seared meat. Dumplings tough like Harry. The cooks should do a course in the old inn.

Great seminar hotel with top equipment for training. Very nice employees. The ventilation system or room air should also be mentioned in Corona times. Really great, you feel very comfortable.

We were there for a conference. Nice meeting and event area, nice and uncomplicated service and very tasty food. After a fire a few years ago, the main house has been restored with great attention to detail. I would come back.

Great service, cozy and clean rooms, proper bathrooms and exquisite breakfast. Even during covid-19 a nice place to stay. Also the sauna was very nice.

Good location, 1km from the freeway. Free and stable wifi. Rooms were nice and spotlessly cleaned. Hotel grounds were very neatly kept and the food served in the restaurant was delicious. I was told that breakfast is served starting 6.30 to allow for early departures. Although I prefer to explore rather than revisit, I would strongly consider comming back here if I am to travel in this area again!

First of all - I was in the hotel for two nights of a professional nature. If you want to see general pictures, you can look on the hotel's homepage as well as on Google / Booking etc. I go into the essentials here and show what is personally a no go for me. Getting there was straightforward and the hotel has a large car park. From the outside, the individual buildings appear modern and well-kept. The space in front of the hotel looks good, is clean and gives a good impression. Breakfast is good and there is everything that goes with breakfast. Since the corona measures make some cuts here, beverages are available on request, i.e. without self-service. The breakfast room, bar and ambience in the main building is great. The vintage style emphasizes the ambience. The terraces outside are large and cozy. There are countless seating options in the shade, in the sun and also in the building. I haven't seen all the rooms, so I can only speak of mine. Unfortunately it rips in again and I actually have to deduct 2 stars. My room was a mix of rustic and trying modern refurbishment. That backfired a little. The room looks dark and oppressive. This is certainly due to the facility. Who likes it ... I don't like it. The room does not underline the charm of the main building. The wooden bed slips on the wooden floor, it creaks and squeaks at all ends. The clock radio on the bedside table is from the past. The furnishings, the pictures and the curtains do not radiate any cosiness. Everything seems lovelessly thrown together. The curtains are opaque, but let a lot of light through. So if you want to sleep in in summer you might have problems ... In the bathroom you will find one or the other shortcoming. Torn out silicone joints, mold in the shower, old and crumbling paint, worn fittings and also yellowed joints in the shower. The soap dispenser looks filthy and rusted. All of this would give me - overall impression - not 4 stars. The decor may give that, but the ambience here calls for a mediocre 3-star room. Pity! A lot of potential wasted. Because the rooms are so noisy with each other that you can hear the neighbor when he is in the bathroom. No matter whether it is rinsing or the water is running. If it weren't for all of these shortcomings, I would give it 5 stars. So there are only 3. Sure, the furnishing of the rooms is a matter of taste, but we live in the 21st century and it should be possible to get modern facilities and to choose a standard that binds the guest and does not deter. It starts with yellow painted walls and ends with orange curtains. Oh yes, right at the end ... The WLAN in the rooms is an impertinence. Interruptions, bad connection and hardly any data rate. That is also not acceptable in 2020.

What a gem of a find to stay in. We all wished that we could have stayed there much longer but we had other reservations. Beautiful grounds and buildings. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The restaurant's food was superbly prepared and delicious. The staff was very gracious and spoke English as well.

We were on the Bad Zwischenahner Woche cycling tour and stayed for 2 days for our 3 day tour at the Hotel Gut Altona. Here is excellent service, everyone is very friendly and helpful. Excellent food and a gigantic breakfast buffet. Our double room was in the manor house complex and just mega-very large and spacious. Maintained top. Box spring bed, large flat screen TV, drinks and even a coffee machine in the room. A mega-large bathroom with a spacious shower, sanitary facilities suitable for senior citizens. Hair dryer, shower gel, body lotion and cosmetic accessories. This ambience is highly recommended.

I was here for 3 days for further training. The house is very well maintained and impressive. The rooms are clean and well furnished. The bathroom a bit small, but functional and clean. The food is tasty and there is also a large selection at the breakfast buffet. The attention of the waiters is striking. There is always someone around and you don't have to wait long. I felt very comfortable here.

Very noble shop, the new building has become really nice. Of course, also beautiful location between the forest and the lake, the stop in front of the door of the line 270 is also called Gut Altona

Loved staying here, just passing by 1 night. Stayed in their ‘basic’ room which was clean, beds hard, makeup mirror in bathroom, ok shower. All staff extremely friendly and attentive. Had dinner and breakfast which all was delicious. Loved the home made jam. Will be back.

Very good Location

Lovely place, very American style, with a small choice of good meals. Only stayed for lunch, but the taste was very good. I would stress though, to be careful when asking for meat, and to be precise with the desired cooking, for I got a slightly overcooked meat myself. It was well prepared with some good side dishes, but had no pink left in it, and was admittedly a little dry. Other than that, I would definitely recommend, although it is a bit pricey, so go ahead if you can afford it. The atmosphere is very nice, with a grand entrance and dining room. All in all, good experience.
